We are living in a generation, which is just like the generation of the Mabul (flood). We are pained to see our irreligious brothers dressed so immodestly. But they have deteriorated because of us, because we are not modest enough, because we do not observe the halachos of modesty as they should be. This is why they're deteriorating! Because Chazal have said, "as is the head, so is the tail, if the tail is decayed, so the tail deteriorates further and further, until the depths of Gehinnom".
The key to bring the Redemption, lies only in the hands of the Jewish daughters. So said Chazal: " Äm Israel will be redeemed in the merit of righteous women". They did not say, thanks to the Jewish men or the Rabbonim, only because of righteous women.
The frightening implication here is , that in the last generation the redemption will be delayed due to a mitzva that is connected to women, the mitzva of modesty with which women have been blessed. Each and every moment that a woman covers herself, she is making dozens and dozens of mitzvos. Every drop of sweat due to her modest attire, is life-giving dew, which will revive us at the resurrection of the dead and allow us to merit Mashiach and the Ultimate Redemption!
